Gotta Love: Dress Up 31 -- Beach!

Just in time for the end of summer, my team and I had a team building activity in Batangas (promise to blog about this beautiful resort).  We had a lot of fun swimming and snorkeling, playing games, and bonding with each other.  It was a great time for us, especially because we are growing so fast in terms of number that I can't keep up with everyone.  It was time well spent and I'm looking forward for more activities soon :)

Anyway, here's what I wore on the morning of our return to Manila.  Please excuse my big tummy.  I had a very large breakfast prior to taking this picture courtesy of the buffet-style serving the resort offered.

The cover up that I'm wearing is from Fashion Galore.  I really love it because it is so perfect for a day on the beach.  It is my second time buying from this online shop (see post here).  They are actually celebrating their anniversary this month so make sure to take advantage of their ongoing promo!

Gotta Love: Dress Up 30 -- Tower High

Updating my blog again for another outfit post.  I've purchased a pair of wedges about two weeks ago in a night market in McKinley Hill.  I really had no intention of buying but I was instantly drawn to this pair!  These are just too adorable.  It was comfy to wear and walk in.  And the best thing about it: it costs only 400 pesos!

As I always say, wala sa presyo ang ganda, nasa nagdadala yan. I mean, who would have thought that these just costs that much, right?  I saw a similar pair from a popular brand and it costs more than a thousand pesos.  Anyway, I must apologize that I forgot to take note of the name of the shop where I bought it.  They had so many good stuff to sell.

Here's what I paired it with.  Took photos inside the house because it was so hot out.  Hope you like it!

Yummy for the Tummy: Cajun Red Rock

I have not been blogging as much as I want to lately.  Had of things happening in April and May with personal events and work.  And so I thought, what better way to be back than to write about my favorite restaurant.

No, I haven't been eating here forever.  I just discovered Cajun about 4 years ago when my aunt and I had lunch in Megamall one day.  Back then, they were still located at the back of Building B.  I had the most mouthwatering ribs, and the most delicious drink.

The most amazing thing is, when I mentioned this to BF, he said there was a similar restaurant near their house (just walking distance) in Retiro which sounded the same where he had a very delicious burger.  I was happy to discover we were just referring to one resto.  The Retiro branch was the first one created.

And so we had become a regular in the Retiro branch, that when Kuya Paul transferred to the newly moved Megamall Atrium branch, he recognized us.  And has been greeting us every time we pass by.

Anyway, enough of my rambling, more of the food!  Here's what we ordered the last time we ate here.

For starters we had Stuffed Bacon and Cheese Rolls.  If I remember correctly, the bacon was a new addition to the cheese rolls which I did not enjoy before.  Good thing they added bacon which made it more delicious.  The salsa goes very well with it.

As for my order, yep you guessed it right, Jack Daniel Ribs!  So yummy!  For the main courses, you have an option to choose two sides.  I had my regular Saffron Rice but this time I chose Buttered Veggies instead of Hash Brown (which is as delicious btw).

The ribs are so moist and tender, it literally tear off the bones!  They offer other sauces too, but JD is my favorite.  The best mixture of sweet, sour, and peppery.

Cajun is famous for their burgers too.  You can have an option to make your burger one pound, perfect for meat lovers.  You can also opt to make it a volcano, where there is a hole in the middle that is filled up with onion rings. Just thinking about it makes me crave.

BF, being the meat lover that he is, ordered Southern Bacon Cheese burger.  The meat is also moist, and the bread goes well with the whole thing.  It also served with fries and dip.

For drinks, my favorite is Tony's Special.  What is interesting about this drink is that it is served with two flavors (one is strawberry, I think) separate in one glass that you have to mix before drinking.  My advice is to let the ice melt for a little bit, it is much more delicious when super cold.

Other choices that I recommend are their hand tossed log pizzas, Pork Steak Jambalaya, Two Cheese Potato Soup, and Baked Mashed Potato.

They already have three branches in the metro, one in Retiro, Megamall Atrium, and Robinson's Galleria (cinema level).  Make sure to try this out soon and let me know what you think.

PS: They are also the makers of the Chef Tony's Popcorn.  They sometimes serve popcorn while waiting for your order.

Gotta Love: Dress Up 29 -- Soft Rock

I've been dying to create an outfit post for this simple but pretty sleeveless blouse.  The color is so rich and girly.  Plus points that the fabric is light, great for the hot weather.

Blouse: Witchery
Jeggings: Giordano
But why do you ask, I had a jacket on?  It was a last minute decision because I saw that the jacket matched the shoes I had on.  It was air conditioned in the office anyway so I had the perfect excuse to wear it.

I've actually had this jacked for quite sometime now.  It looks a bit like someone from a Korean boy band would wear.  But I just love the zipper and shoulder detail.  See how it is when closed.  I love to pair it with anything; blouses, dresses, you name it.  It's my most versatile jacket I have in my closet.

Jacket: Missy

Never thought I would end up looking like a rock chic.  It's just not my style. :P  I like the end result though.

Studded bootie: Parishian

Destination: The Peak

Hey everyone!  This is still the continuation of our amazing Hong Kong trip.  Half of the day was spent roaming around the city, the next half at The Peak.  I was actually starting to feel so tired with all the walking that we did but going to the Peak made me feel rejuvenated.

The Peak used to be a signaling post for incoming cargo but then it became a retreat for the more privileged residents of Hong Kong.  There used to be a Peak Hotel but it was burned down by a fire in 1938.  (Source: http://www.thepeak.com.hk/en/home.asp) The Tram provided transportation then as it still does now.  For me, riding the Tram is the best way to start The Peak experience.

So many people!
After a quick meal at NYF, we were off to see some stars at Madame Tussauds' wax museum.  It surpassed my expectations!  The wax figures were just spread out across the room.  You can touch the figures, take a picture with them, even "flirt" with them.  Hahaha!  It was such an energy booster.
