Super love the rainbow-colored bikini on Candice!  I also like how their bikinis are youthful and fashionable at the same time.  Guaranteed head turners! (wink)

On The Red Carpet: Oscars 2012

Sorry I've been quiet lately.  I've been so busy these past days with work and a wedding (which I'll be sharing with you soon).  But for now, I'll be sharing with you my top picks for the most awaited red carpet event; The Oscars.

Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace wowing everyone with her thigh high slit.
TV Personality Maria Menounos in this very sexy sheer green gown.
Emma Stone in Giambattista Valli.  Red makes her pop!
Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad which hugs her body perfectly. Hot!
Meryll Streep in Lanvin.  She looks so glam in gold.
Cameron Diaz in Gucci.  Love the details of her gown.
Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford; simple yet elegant.
Michelle Williams in Louis Vuitton.  Orange is a hard color to wear but she pulled it off :)
Jessica Chastain in Alexander McQueen.  Hand embroidered! Whoa!
Princess Charlene of Monaco in Akris.  Truly fit for royalty.
Penelope Cruz in Giorgio Armani which made her look fresh and young.
Got these pictures from here and here.

Gotta Love: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream

This is the last of my 3-part post.  I have shared with you previously round lipsticks and matte lipsticks.  Now this is my favorite of all <3

The tagline:  It is not a lipstick nor a lip gloss.  It's NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream and I'm totally in love with it!

First thing that you'll notice when you open the bottle is that is smells so good (like cream and butter. yum!).  It glides on smoothly on your lips and will then turn matte after some time.

PS: As shared in my previous posts, color may vary due to the different camera settings.  These were indoors with flash.  Also, my lips are not that pinkish so that may affect color as well.  I added a swatch to help see the colors.  PM me or comment should you have any questions :)

Milan
San Paulo
And my favorite, Antwerp
It is so easy to apply, perfect for people always on the go and for make up newbies who have a hard time applying lipsticks.  If only I could hoard and stock up on these...

It is also very affordable.  Only 290 pesos at Digital Traincase but you can pre order at Beauty and the Geeks for 245 pesos.  Promise, you'll love this as much as I do.  Also, BF does not mind when I wear this (hope I am right :P).  He usually hates it when I wear lipstick so this is an added bonus for me!  Yey!

Gotta Love: NYX Matte Lipstick

Earlier, I have shared with you my round lipstick collection.  This is the second of my 3-part post.

Matte shades have a big impact on me mainly because it is so versatile.  You can use it everyday or during formal occasions.  It gives you color without screaming "I am wearing a lipstick!".

Lipsticks that are matte are very tricky.  You may encounter problems such as clumps.  Or it won't glide smoothly even after placing lip balm first.  Or the color is uneven.  All of these is answered by NYX Matte Lipsticks.  I love this product especially because the colors are so rich.  One touch and you are done!

PS: As shared in my first post, colors may vary depending on the camera settings.  These are taken indoors with flash.  Also, my lips are not that pinkish so that may affect color as well.  I added a swatch to help see the colors.  PM me or comment should you have any questions :)

Audrey
Angel
Tea Rose
I applied a tiny bit of lipbalm just to avoid drying my lips out.  Pictures above were taken right after I applied the lipstick but it will appear more matte as it dries out.

There are 22 shades available for this type.  All of these were ordered at Digital Traincase and Beauty and the Geeks for only 245 pesos.

Stay tuned for the final installment! :)

Gotta Love: NYX Round Lipstick

I have become a make up fanatic.  Before, I am just a lipgloss/lip balm kind of girl, but now, I have renewed my love for lipsticks.  This will be a 3-part blog to show you me and my sister's NYX Lipsticks collection.

Let me first give you a background regarding NYX cosmetics.  It was named after the Greek goddess of the night.  It was founded in 1999 with the goal of creating affordable cosmetics without sacrificing quality.  And they achieved their goal.

Presenting NYX Round Lipsticks.  The formula is mineral-based, and each stroke gives off a heavy pigmented color.  The color lasts for a long time on your lips.  It comes in 144 shades.  The best thing about it: it costs 120 pesos only!!!

I have here 9 shades all bought from Digital Traincase and Beauty and the Geeks arranged from the oldest to the newest ones.

PS: Color may vary due to the different camera settings.  First pictures were taken outside with flash, the rest were indoors.  Also, my lips are not that pinkish so that may affect color as well.  I added a swatch to help see the colors.  PM me or comment should you have any questions :)

This was the very first one that we had and it is called Paris.  Look how battered it is :P
This one is called Lala.  It has a more violet shade and is the darkest one I have.
Fig
Doll
Spell Bound.  One of the shades I use everyday.
Haute Coutour.  From here on are the new ones that I recently bought.  This color is a bit glittery.
Blush
Thalia
Chambord.  This is more of an orange base and has a bit of glitters.
That is all for my round lipstick collection.  More colors can be found here.  Stay tuned for more posts on NYX in the coming days! :)

Yummy for the Tummy: Burgoo

Sorry for not posting much lately.  I've been busy with other stuff (work!).  Anyway, this is an overdue post already.  We ate here last weekend before we watched Star Wars.

Burgoo is an American-themed restaurant, serving American favorites in American-sized serving.  The menu ranges from appetizers, hamburgers and sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and entrees.  The ambiance inside is casual and laid-back, perfect for getting together with family and friends.

My favorite things about Burgoo:
1. Big serving sizes; perfect when I'm super hungry!
2. The waiters write their names backwards.  They introduce themselves to the customers by doing so.
3. I can draw while waiting.  Since it takes some time for the food to arrive to ensure freshness, customers can doodle in the paper provided (paper instead of table cloth).  It is a good distraction especially for the kids.
4. Of course, the food is yummy!

Here are some pictures.

My drawing
Pau's drawing
Cheddar Cheese Fries Supreme
Super yummy appetizer.  It has ground beef, ground chicken, tomatoes, peppers, and olives on top of fries and cheese.
Country Fried Chicken
What I like about their fried chicken is that it is still juicy inside even though it is crispy outside.  Super flavorful.
Chicken Steak
Two chicken breasts that are grilled and topped with mushroom gravy.  And this is just the regular sized serving!  Got so full after finishing my meal.  By the way, you can choose which sides to go with your entree.
Super love their lemonade!

Meals can cost about 300 to 500 pesos per person.  Full list of branches can be found here.

Next time you find yourself super hungry, try Burgoo.  Share with me your experience, ok? :)

Gotta Love: Dress Up 16 -- Valentine's

Even though I did not have anything special planned and going to be dating my work laptop the whole day, I still dressed up the part.

I feel red is overused for this day, I opted to go for a different color that still says love and sweet: Pink! :)

Bandage Skirt: Forever21
I like how my blouse is so lightweight that even though it has long sleeves, I can still use it during summer.

I love my new bandage skirt.  The combination of blue and pink screams cute!

I have a big abdominal area but I didn't have to wear a girdle because my long blouse hides it.  Horray for long blouses!!!

Partnered my outfit with simple gold accessories.

Necklace: Forever21
Hope you had a great Hearts Day spent with your family, friends, and loved ones!

Gotta Love: Dress Up 15 -- VMA

The theme for our last coffee talk (work jargon for townhall meeting) is Video Music Awards, just in time for the Grammy's.  We were asked to dress up as our favorite pop music icon.  I don't really have a music icon at the moment so i thought of choosing from Hollywood stars.

I am super inspired by how Khloe Kardashian-Odom dresses up.  Even though she is the biggest and tallest among the sisters, she does not let that get in the way for her to look fabulous.  Her curves are hot!

The Kardashian sisters' closets were featured in the latest issue of OK Philippines.  Khloe loves leopard print shoes and I've noticed that she wears black a lot.

My outfit ended up looking too corporate (it was still a company event) but I'm happy with what I wore nonetheless.

Dress: Witchery
Sports Coat: Witchery
Here's the dress without the jacket.

I love how the dress is cinched at the waist which accentuates curves and hides my big tummy :P  Bulges are hidden! (Weird how the dress looked blue in the picture. It is actually kind of dark gray, almost black)

I've recently purchased these gorgeous pumps with leopard print heel detail from what I call now as my "secret fashion heaven".  PM me for details if you want to know where I bought these.  Can't wait for the next payroll so that I can buy more colors!  Weeee!

I paired the dress with these cute mod-inspired clip on earrings from Forever21.
